Higher...

is simply defined as "extending upward". Does one of your heart's desires involve going higher in your walk with God and also for others to experience the same? Then, we have all got to be among those present in the upcoming Higher conference. Not only us but also our family and friends! Let's not miss this divine appointment. Spread the word!

Look Out 2014...

because we're coming your way! And we're coming your way equipped with greater passion for lost sheep. And with this greater passion, there is greater reliance on the God who will do everything He can when we commit everything to Him. From happenings like Easter, school holidays to Christmas, we're set to work on the details of amazing plans the Frontliners Youth leaders have discussed today. Get ready! It's never too early to anticipate for 2014 and we can start by lifting up our prayers for the coming brand new year.

Here's a sneak peak of what happened during the leaders meeting:

The Hangout Session

Venue: Blackball, Gurney Plaza. Date: 28th June 2013 (Friday). Time: 8pm to 10pm. Purpose: Combined Frontliners' Youth Life Groups Hangout. The word spread out throughout the week using both modern and not-so-modern ways; Facebook, handphones and word of mouth. And yesterday, an awesome bunch of eight youths and two not-so-young youths turned up. We kickstarted with some solid food with majority of us getting Burger King and McDonalds along the way besides having Blackball desserts. Once we've got our tummies filled, we spent some time naming the things we wanted to thank God for in this week. Among the things we thanked God for was good exam results, surviving a busy week, finding lost items (us and our short-term memory! haha) and even simply for being able to make it yesterday. How about the rest of us? What about some of the things you'd like to thank God for in this week? =)

"Those blessings are sweetest that are won with prayer and worn with thanks."
(Thomas Goodwin)

After spending time on the things we were thankful for, the group decided to talk about the things we were struggling with throughout the week. The struggles shared were not out-of-the-world challenges but challenges that the rest of us might be facing too. Majority of us shared about some of the challenges we face in school. Some face fears with having report card day coming soon. Exams, however, are not the only challenge. Some face wrong accusations in school. Some face different challenges with different teachers. Some struggle with guilt for doing something that we thought put us in a position where our teachers and friends would blame us for doing the wrong thing. What are you struggling with? No matter what it is, just know that you are not alone. Struggles are temporary but they  are opportunities for us to build eternal things like character and friendship with those who walk these times with us.

"Sometimes God calms the storm. Sometimes God allows the storm to rage and calms His child."
 (Pr Jaeson Ma)

After our time of sharing, we were showered with different card games. UNO was definitely the top choice with many wanting to play. It finally landed in the hands of a bunch of awesome girls. The rest of us had other choices like ClueDo, Battleship and another whose name many definitely might need an eternity to remember. Being new to those card games, we spent more time reading instructions than playing haha! But, we had fun in between exchanging stories. As the hangout was coming to a close, we took a snapshot of ourselves and kept away our cards. We parted ways in different cars and were greeted by a carpark jam. Amidst the jam, it was definitely an opportunity we used to get to know each other better and share funny moments together. Glad everyone reached home safely that night and definitely looking forward to the next meet-up. So, if you would like to join us, we're definitely looking forward to seeing every single one of you. Have a blessed week ahead! =)

P/S: Feel free to comment on this post. Definitely love to hear from you about the things you are thankful for and the things you struggle with. Hope you are encouraged by this post!
